Crispo, lovingly known by his nickname “Big Boy,” was born on October 4, 1960, in Infanta, Quezon, Philippines, to his loving parents, Carlito and Anecia. As the eldest and the only boy of three siblings, Crispo grew up understanding the importance of responsibility, family, and hard work.
During his high school years, Crispo served as a Color Guard Officer, an experience that taught him the importance of discipline, responsibility, and teamwork. After high school, he left his hometown and moved to the city to pursue his college education, taking a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. To support himself through college, he worked various part-time jobs while balancing the demands of his studies.
It was also during his college years in the city that Crispo met Elisa, his first love and the woman who would become his wife. For more than four decades, Crispo and Elisa shared a loving and meaningful marriage, building a home, raising a family, and facing life’s joys and challenges side by side.
One of Crispo’s greatest blessings was the family he built. He was a devoted man and a great provider who believed strongly that family always came first. He was a loving husband and a devoted father to four children, Tonton, Carla, Jamin and Crisia. His family later grew to include his two in-laws, Anne and Justine and his two grandchildren Carlo Andres and Francine Elise, all of whom brought immense joy and meaning to his life. Beyond his immediate family, Crispo was also a supportive brother-in-law and a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews, always ready to offer his help. He treasured every role he held in his family, and the love he had for them was evident in everything he did.
At home, Crispo was affectionately known as the chef of the house. For him, a meal was more than just food—it was one of the many ways he expressed his love and care. He especially enjoyed making pancit, laing, and sinantolan, a dish from his hometown that held a special place in his heart.
Crispo enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved traveling with his family, trying different foods and exploring new places. He also enjoyed fishing and hiking. At home, he spent time caring for his vegetable garden, taking pride in watching his plants grow with his favorites including beets, string beans and eggplants.
Crispo was also a reliable and loyal friend. He was a man of few words but you can feel his concern and care to his friends. He was the kind of person people could turn to when they needed someone to listen, offer advice, or lend a helping hand. His quiet strength, kindness, patience and dependability made him someone who was deeply valued by his friends and loved ones.
Crispo lived a life centered around love, family, hard work, kindness, and service to others. His greatest legacy is the love he gave, the family he cared for, the friendships he nurtured, and the countless memories he created throughout his 65 years of life.
Crispo’s life was a testament to the power of love and devotion. He lived for his family, cared deeply for his friends, and found joy in the simple blessings of life.
He may be gone from sight, but he will never be gone from the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
