

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Anaheim Cemetery, 1400 E. Sycamore St., Anaheim, CA 92805. Arrangements are by Funeraria del Angel Pierce Brothers Anaheim Mortuary.
James was born in Detroit, Michigan to Frank Loria and Mary (Milano) Loria on May 13, 1924. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the Army Medical Corps. During his service, he spent time in Colorado, Florida, North Africa and Italy. After the war he settled in Oakland, CA, where he owned and operated an Ice Cream store while also working for the city bus system. He concluded his working career as a Teamster in the freight business at P.I.E. for over 35 years. On June 20, 1952 he married Gula Louise O’Connor in Long Beach, CA. James is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty Giacolone and his wife.
James is survived by: his brother Angelo Loria (Carmela Loria) of Detroit, MI; two sons, Tim Loria (Linda Loria) of Palmer, Alaska and Chris Loria (Noey Loria) of Santa Ana, CA; five grandchildren, Todd Loria, James Loria, Mary Loria, Tammara Tagaloa and Garrett Loria; 3 great grandchildren, Ava Loria, twins Annie and Memphis Tagaloa; and one nephew and five nieces.
Memorials may be given in his honor to any Alzheimer’s Foundation of your choice.
