Mom had this in her WONDERWORD Puzzle Book <3  

There were seven little girls in our neighborhood in Livonia, Michigan in the late 60s to the early 70s, and by far my favorite and best friend was Frosin. Along with her friendship came her mother, Nuria, who created such a warm and inviting home.

Nuria was stylish, wearing heeled sandals with her dresses, clicking about with an admirable confidence, sporting trendy pretty updos and that 60’s eyeliner… I wanted to be like her when I grew-up!

She kept a well-appointed, spotless home, comfortable to all that visited, often hosting out-of-town relatives. She made me feel just like one of the family, insuring I ate well when over (I still remember her banana milk, and hot chocolate on cold days before our walks to school) and treating me just like one of her own. One Christmas, she even bought me the same gift as Frosin! It was a little portable doll house with many rooms. It was so significant to me that I remember it a half-century later!

Some people leave a big indelible mark on a little girl’s heart, and that is Nuria, and my heart is where my fond memories of her remain today, all these years later.  Her children must be so proud!

We are all better for knowing such a loving woman and we can all use to be more like Nuria; with grateful hearts, spreading warmth and kindness, and welcoming others who cross our paths with open arms!

Your loss must be so great, my dear Frosin. I pray you and your beautiful family, who took such good care of your mama; who all embody the best of her; are comforted by your memories of such a wonderful and caring woman. She will be with you always in your hearts and her legacy will live on through you.

When I think of Nuria I think of Nadal and Lynda's parties. I think of needing to sit and rest for awhile and always finding Nurias'sweet face in the crowd at the tables. She always made me feel welcome and genuinely happy to sit and chat with everyone.  She gave the gift of friendship, warmth and kindness to a stranger on our first meeting and every time after that. The Habash family is so fortunate to have had such a wonderful woman in their life's for so many years (even though the years are never enough). Thank you for sharing your amazing Nuria with the rest of us!! She was so loved .  Kathy Baker 

To our dear Primos and Primas,

Our deepest condolences on your loss.  We understand your pain and share in your sorrow.  Our Tia was such a beautiful person, always full of love.  My husband Scott only met her and Tio once, but he has fond memories of that day and never forgets the delicious Arab food she made.  Noone could cook as good as my Tia! I will always treasure my wonderful memories of her.  We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers as you get through the difficult days.  Sending all my Love,

I grew up with Nadal and Frosin and have so many fond memories of Nuria.  She was the most wonderful person.  As kids we all spent lots of time at the Habash house.   Nuria created memories that we will all hold in our hearts forever.  She will be greatly missed.

Nadal and family, our most heart felt condolences for the loss of your mom.  Too soon she left on her angel wings, but she leaves a great foundation of goodness in the world.  May all her knowledge remain  and continue to live through the work of  her children and grandchildren. 
May God give you comfort and strength through all of this and just know that we are by your side during these difficult time.

Nuria, Andy and their children moved into our neighborhood years ago. Nuria and Andy were great people We became fast friends and will miss them very much
