Vincent was born in Hong Kong in March, 1936, and grew up during World War II’s Japanese occupation with his father, mother, grandmother, and five siblings. His father, a member of the Hong Kong Regiment, was absent for four years of the war due to capture and internment in a Japanese prisoner-of-war camp.
Vincent began working in banking operations at the age of fifteen, pursuing an impressive forty-year career that culminated in his position as a bank Vice President. His professional expertise and work ethics earned him respect among many of his colleagues over the years.
His passions in life were his beloved wife of thirty-nine years, Anne Remedios (née Ferrás), his three sons, stamp collecting, organic gardening, playing contract bridge, and traveling. At social events, he was often the life of the party, drawing from his endless supply of earthy jokes and story-telling.
Vincent is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, David Remedios and Karen MacDonald, Andrew and Monserrat Remedios, and Richard and Keely Remedios; and by his surviving siblings Jorge, Deanna, Arthur, and Christine.
