Bernice Ruby Loughridge Adams

Bernice Adams age 102 passed away on July, 10 2015 at the Mitchell Village Care Center. She was born in Alvin, Texas to Sid and Pearl Loughridge. At the age of 3, Bernice and her family moved to Little River, Kansas. She married John W. Adams on September 5, 1931. In 1936 the couple moved to Climax, Colorado where John worked in the mine. After they had become Christians, John left the mines and became a pastor. They ministered in Colorado and were later called to the White Oak Church in Elkhart, Iowa.

Visitation will be held at the Ankeny Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2015.

Funeral Services will be held at the White Oak Church at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2015 with a burial to follow at the White Oak Cemetery.

Bernice is preceded in death by her husband, John Adams Sr., son; David Adams, Daughter-In-Laws; Marian Adams and Mary Adams, six brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her sons; Bill and Darrel Adams of Des Moines, Russ Adams of Austin, Texas, daughters; Faith Scheer of Torrance, California and Frances of Richardson, Texas, grandchildren; Philip Daniel, Mike Adams, Priscilla Aistleitner, Debby Evans, Kathy Ritz, Tracy Fultz and 19 great-grandchildren.
