Brenda Jean Land

Brenda Jean Land, age 64, of Ankeny, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2021. She was born October 20, 1957 in Chicago, IL, to parents Billy and Belva (Jackson - maiden name, Krison - 2nd marriage) Day (1st marriage). Brenda enjoyed over forty years of marriage to her husband Donald Land. She was a loving mother to her children Michael Pedraza, Victor Pedraza, and John Pedraza (J.P.).

Brenda was a talented artist, and worked in many different media. She was also an accomplished seamstress, sewing her own clothing. She loved butterflies, especially Monarchs. Brenda was very dedicated to her family, and spent much of her life as a homemaker and mother. Later, she would work with her husband Donald, serving as a monitor on the school buses he drove.

Brenda is survived by her husband Donald; her three children; siblings Ellen, Carrie, Marsha, Donna, and Ross; and her four grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation for Brenda will be held at Ankeny Funeral Home Tuesday, December 28th, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Services will be held the following day on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Berwick Cemetery.
