Charles "Chuck" Lee Keosoff, age 84, of Ankeny, Iowa passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024. Services will be held Monday, April 1st, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Ankeny Funeral Home. A visitation will be held prior from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines, Iowa following the service on April 1st, 2024.
Charles Keosoff was born on January 16th, 1940 to Charles and Lola Keosoff in Overton, Texas. He graduated from Premont High School in Texas. He then joined the Air Force in 1958 and served until 1962. Charles met Gwendolyn (Jeannie) Orchard and they were joined in marriage, February 14th, 1961. They had 3 children, Steven, Ihla (Kim), and Rebecca.
Small plot twist, Charles and Jeannie divorced in 1977, and Charles was united in marriage to Barbara Dann in December of 1982. He became a wonderful step-father to Michelle, Todd, and Jenny.
Charles worked for Chicago Northwestern, currently known as Union Pacific, for 30 years. He loved building model airplanes and flying them, crashing them, and then rebuilding them. Charles and Barbara enjoyed spending time at Prairie Meadows and traveling to Texas. They loved to host holidays and spend time with their family.
Charles left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Charles is survived by his children, Steven Keosoff, Ihla Farrell, and Becky (Richard) Petit; ex-wife, Jeannie Rivera; grandchildren, Josh (Angie) Paglia, Jacqueline Brosdahl, Jessica Tomlinson, Jason Keosoff; 17 great- grandchildren and 7 great-great- grandchildren. Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, his parents, Charles and Lola, and his grandparents, Steven and Alma Keosoff.
