A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W. First St., Ankeny, IA 50023).
Chris was born May 3, 1954 to Frank and Jeanne (Olson) Bayliff in Fairmont, Minnesota. She grew up in Fairmont and the family moved to Ankeny, Iowa when she was 10 years old. There she attended Ankeny Schools, graduating in 1972. Following graduation she was blessed with two daughters and a son.
Chris was known for her reserved nature and her sense of humor, some would describe her as quiet or shy. In her younger years she loved spending time with her children and attending all of their school and sport activities. She also enjoyed dancing, being outside enjoying the weather, working in her garden, or caring for her beloved pets.
Chris’s family was her life, she worked hard to provide a good life for her children while having fun along the way. She loved singing and dancing with her children as well as playing practical jokes on them. She was a strong role model for her children by modeling strength, perseverance and resilience.
Chris is survived by her daughter, Tammy Panada of Sheldahl, IA, son, Nathan Culp (Amy) of Colfax, IA, daughter, Jolene Culp of Ankeny, IA, eight grandchildren and four plus great-grandchildren, sister, Judy Schmidt (Bob) of Omaha, NE, sister, Annette Gust (Jack) of Northfield, MN, sister, Bridget Smith (Perry), brother, Daniel Ginger (Norma) of Pleasantville, IA and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeanne and Dwayne Ginger, Frank Bayliff, 2 brothers, Francis and Walter, and a nephew, Dana.
