Terry was born September 11th, 1956, in Champaign, IL, the son of Ethel Marie [Froyd] Anderson, and Clifton Roger Anderson. He graduated from Rantoul Township High School in 1974 and went on to earn a degree in Christian Education and Music from Faith Baptist Bible College in 1979.
Terry married Robin Rae [Payne] Anderson on August 23rd, 1980, at Center Street Baptist in Marshalltown, IA, with Greg Boyle officiating. They shared nearly 46 years of loving marriage, and one of his greatest joys was enjoying their 4 children and 12 grandchildren together.
Terry spent 15 years in pastoral ministry, impacting many through his work with youth, as well as bringing people together in worship through music. Terry went on to show his generous and servant-hearted nature in other areas, most significantly through his many years in real estate.
Terry was a member of First Family Church. He spent 19 years with Grace Church as a member and elder. He was known for his genuine kindness, meeting all he encountered with a smile and caring words. He loved playing pickleball, playing games and laughing alongside his family, and spending time in Florida with his beloved wife. Terry had a legendary love of sweet treats, and it was not unusual for his family members to come upon a hidden stash in his truck or home. He loved to work with his hands and could frequently be found improving and renovating homes.
Terry humbly and consistently served others with a quiet generosity that touched countless lives, and he will be remembered for his Christlike character. His love for Jesus was evident in his daily life and readiness to meet any need.
Remaining to cherish Terry’s memory are his wife, Robin; children and grandchildren, Tyler (Sarah) Anderson and Eleazar of Benzonia, MI, Jordan (Jessa) Anderson, Lorelei, Jagger, Sylvie, and Haddie of Nashville, TN, Kara (Noah) Swanson, London, Iylee, and Shepherd of Ankeny, IA, Meredith (Brett) Stiles, Anderson, Maverick, Duke, and Landrey of Ankeny, IA; and sister, Barb (Dan) Eloe of Waverly, IA.
Preceding Terry in death is his son, Jarrod Nicholas Anderson, and parents, Ethel and Clifton Anderson.
