A Funeral Service will be held at Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 West First Street, Ankeny, IA 50023, US, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am, followed by a Graveside Service at Ell Township Cemetery, 800 S 1st St, Klemme, IA 50449, US, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 12:30 pm. Active pallbearers will be Victor Merkel, William Wessels, Craig Forcht, Greyson Wessels, Samuel Wessels, and Mark Merkel.
Corrine C. Davey, the daughter of Henry and Clara Greiman, was born April 4th,1926 in Garner, Iowa. Corrine lived a long and wonderful life. She celebrated her 100th birthday on April 4th,2026 and was loved by many. She enjoyed cooking, baking apple pies, gardening, crafting, and sewing. For years she made teddy bears and donated them to the Salvation Army at Christmas. Her flowers were beautiful and plentiful as she never ran across one she didn't like. She will be greatly missed by all. We are blessed to have had her for so many years.
Surviving are her two children, Rickey A. (Joyce) Merkel of Gadsden, Alabama, and Sharilyn J. Forcht of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her grandchildren, Victor (Malinda) Merkel of Gadsden, Alabama, Shelley Jackson of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Craig (Dixie) Forcht of Chelsea, Iowa, Cassie (William) Wessels of Stone City, Iowa, Christopher (Elise) Sims of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Lisa (Joey) Bearden of Steele, Alabama, Roby Merkel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Mark Merkel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and nieces, Patricia Henry of Overland Park, Kansas, and Eileen (James) Owen of Green Valley, Arizona.
Corrine was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Clara Greiman of Klemme, Iowa; her husband, William J. Davey; her brothers, Erwin and Alvin; her sister, Lucille, and her twin sons, Larry and Gary Merkel.
Memorials may be directed to the family in loving memory of Corrine.
