Danial "Dan" Lee Greenlee

Danial “Dan” Lee Greenlee, 54, passed away on April 7, 2022, at his residence in Ankeny, IA. A celebration of life will be held at Ankeny Funeral Home on Thursday, April 14th from 4 to 7:00 PM.

Dan was born to Carroll (Lee) and Sheryl (Lynn) (Akkerman) Greenlee on October 18, 1967, in Des Moines, IA. He attended Moore Elementary School in Des Moines, IA before moving to Elkhart where he completed grade school. Dan eventually ended up in Ankeny, attending Ankeny High School and graduating in 1986. He was a hard-working man that provided for his family. Dan cherished family time and enjoyed spending his weekend at home, the highlight of his weekend being Sunday dinners. He will be remembered for his love of NASCAR, WWE wrestling, talking about cars and working on his 1973 Chevelle, admiring the female form, playing pool while listening to 80's Rock, smoking and grilling food, and spending time with his family and friends.

Dan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Agnes and Muril Akkerman, Josephine South, and Carroll Greenlee; grandchild, Mia Leigh Orndorff; and many cousins and friends.

Dan is survived by his parents; children, Samantha (Jason) Orndorff, Shawn (Heather) Greenlee, and Tylor Greenlee; sibling, Tesa Greenlee; grandchild, Mikayla Rose; widow, Beth Greenlee; and many extended family and friends.

Memorial contributions for Danial Greenlee can be addressed to his family for later distribution.
