Daniel "JD" Adkins

He was born in 1999 in Fort Riley, Kansas, to Jennifer and Jason Adkins. Daniel attended Southeast Polk Highschool. After graduation, he worked at several places, including working as the General Manager at Dollar General and working at Casey’s. One of his favorite hobbies was playing Magic the Gathering with his friends. They had collected 100s of cards and even made custom cards because they shared such love for the game. JD had started his collection of tattoos as well and was very proud of them. He knew how to make people laugh even when they were sad. He left lasting impacts on people's lives and he touched many people's hearts.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Shay Bryant, and their two sons, Avalon and Phoenix; as well as his mom and dad Jennifer Adkins and Jason Adkins, and his 4 sisters, Jasmine (Jake Hamilton), Jessica (Alexander Laube), Julia and Cassie; his grandpa, Jim Adkins, and Grandma, Colleen Adkins, and his Papa Larry Keith; as well as his 2 uncles Jeff and Jamie Adkins, and 10 cousins. Daniel was preceded in death by his Nana, Connie Kieth.

The visitation is Thursday September 11th, 5pm to 7pm at 1510 W 1st St, Ankeny, Iowa, 50023. Ankeny Funeral Home and Services. There will be food catered by Great Caterers of Iowa during the visitation. Thank you to everyone who will be able to make it.
