Daniel Raymond Noring, 53, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020. A celebration of life will be at 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm Sunday, February 23, 2020, at Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W First Street, Ankeny, IA).

Daniel was born January 9, 1967, to Raymond and June (Frey) Noring in Des Moines, Iowa. He grew up on a family farm in Madrid Iowa where he went to high school. After high school Dan enlisted in the United States Army where he served for four years. Dan returned to central Iowa and worked at Ryko Manufacturing in Grimes, Iowa and later Sheehy Mail Contractors, Grimes Iowa.

Daniel loved to cook. He loved to grill and smoke meat. It was his delight to share his food with family and friends. Daniel also loved music, watching movies and riding bikes. He took great pride in working hard, his girls and family and friends.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Ann; daughters, Gilly and Bailey, their mother, Wendy; brother Brian. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and June (Frey) Noring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to WDMCS Student Scholarship Fund.

Although I knew Dan for a relatively short time, I loved his infectious smile and chuckle. He will be sorely missed. Love and condolences to his wife, and daughters.

What a great man and a great friend, one of our favorite Drivers in Cedar Rapids , always polite and helpful with a joke for the day and a recipe to get us hungry for the day- im so sad to hear of his passing as I just talked to him Tuesday at work - please know he will be very missed and we are all sad for your loss
