David “Dave” Dearinger, 72, passed away unexpectedly at Lake Rathbun, doing what he loved, fishing and mushroom hunting, Thursday, May 12, 2011. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday May 15 with a Celebration of Life service at 10 a.m., Monday, May 16 at Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 W. First Street. Interment will be at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.
Dave was born October 27, 1938 in Manson, Iowa. He was raised by his mother, Betty and step-dad, Dick Crouse in Boone, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Dearinger; son, D. Shawn Dearinger; daughter, Cherie (Mike) Williams; sister, Virginia (Jim) Porter; granddaughters, Christy Witzenburg and Jennifer Dearinger; and half brother, Ernie (Nancy) Dearinger. He is preceded in death by his parents; stillborn twin brother; and half brother, Paul Crouse.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Dave’s family to be donated to the Ankeny Little League.
