David "Rudy" Roland Rudisil

A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at the Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W. First St., Ankeny, Iowa 50023). A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at the Ankeny Funeral Home.

David was born November 24, 1964, in Des Moines, IA to Charles and Carolyn (Taylor) Rudisil. He grew up in Ankeny, IA and graduated from Ankeny High School, class of 1983.

David enjoyed every sport, including all forms of auto racing, playing pool, darts, golfing, and supporting the St. Louis Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings, but his passion was with the Iowa Hawkeye’s Football team.

David will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of jazz music, and his understanding of computers. He will be missed dearly by his friends and family.

David is survived by his Mother; Carolyn Rudisil, Brother; Dan (Kim) Rudisil, Nephew; Dennis Rudisil, Aunts; Gwen Bendixen, and Pat Taylor, as well as numerous cousins.

David was preceded in death by his Father; Charles (Rudy) Rudisil, Grandparents; Olan (Leila) Rudisil, Duane (Adrah) Taylor, Uncles; Don Taylor, Dale Bendixen, Roger Swartfager, Richard Kyras, and his Aunt; Betty Kyras.

Memorial Contributions may be directed towards the Ankeny Presbyterian Church, Easter Seals Foundation, or to David’s family.
