I only really knew Denny from dealings at my bike store. Whenever he would stop in to see us he spread a little sunshine. His beautiful photos of morning rides and very descriptive stories of his experiences will not be forgotten. Denny was always finding ways to spread his passion for cycling to friends and family. I will miss Denny’s smile greatly but I know he will be riding in heaven with eternal tailwinds. Rest In Peace, my friend!

I had the pleasure of riding bikes along side Denny for a few days last summer. From the few days we all rode together, it seemed Denny just took in all the quirks, annoyances, and immaturity of the group. He talked about his children a lot; you could tell he was very proud. I'm very sorry to hear of his passing, and send my condolences.

I was invited to the Bernholtz's for dinner once while in college with Jake. Mr. and Mrs. Bernholtz went above and beyond in making us feel at home, and it was very clear that connecting with his son's friends was a priority to Mr. Bernholtz. We talked about sports and his ridiculously sized dogs, and I know his friendly, good-natured values will live on in the amazing children he raised.

Denny and his brothers were the brothers my son did not have growing up. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Loretta and the Bernholtz family on the loss of a great son, brother, father, uncle, and friend.

Denny was a great asset and always willing to help the City of Carlisle when I worked there. He will be greatly missed not only by the staff in Carlisle, but by many of those he touched with his kind and giving personality throughout our area.

Thank you for your time here on earth Denny!
