Frank Halferty Clements II

Frank was born June 14, 1945, in Grinnell, Iowa, to Dr. James and Helen (Reckler) Clements. A graduate of Grinnell Community High School 1963, and Drake University class of 1968. He immediately started his 38 year long career with the Treasury Department as an Internal Revenue Agent. He was an advocate for fellow employees as President, Vice President, and Chief Steward of National Treasury Employees Union, NTEU Chapter 4, during his career. Outside of his work, he trained in Tae Kwon Do at Eric Heintz Black Belt Academy and Two Rivers Martial Arts, once achieving his black belt he taught in local area schools. Frank enjoyed fishing, camping, trap shooting, and sharing meals or stories with his friends and family. He liked history and took vacations to historic sites, reenactments, monuments and museums.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Halstead. He is survived by his children, Laura Clements, Frank Clements, and Sarah Rose Nicolou; his brother, James (Kay) Clements; his sister, Harriet Clements; his ex-wife and lifelong friend, Janet Clements; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Party will be held Friday September 5th from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mitchellville Community Center, 120 2nd St. N.E., Mitchellville, IA 50169.

Church and burial services will be announced at a later date.
