Janell Kay Hinton

A visitation from 1:30-3:00 pm and Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm will be held in the chapel at the Ankeny Funeral Home on Saturday, June 22, 2013. A second visitation will take place from 2:00-4:00 pm at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Osage, Iowa on Tuesday, June 25, 2013.

Janell was born on December 2, 1954 in Osage, Iowa to Bob and Annabelle Fish. She attended the University of Northern Iowa and graduated from Hamilton Business College in Mason City. In 1982, Janell was united in marriage in Merle Hinton. She was employed by Mitchell County Memorial Hospital and as a self-employed bookkeeper in her husband’s business.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Fish; and mother-in-law, Jeannine Hinton. Janell will be missed by her husband, Merle Hinton of Storm Lake; mother, Annabelle Fish of Osage; brother, Tom Fish (Cindy) of Ankeny; father-in-law, R.J. (Jerry) Hinton of Clarion; brother-in-laws, Mark Hinton (Connie) of Clarion, Mike Hinton (Elaine) of Columbia, Missouri; three nieces, and five nephews.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in lieu of flowers.
