Janice Elaine Larsen, 73, passed away Monday, August 1, 2011 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, at Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 W. First St. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, at Ankeny Free Church, 118 NW Linden St., Ankeny. Interment will be 2:00 p.m., Friday at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola.
Jan was born November 8, 1937 to Arthur and Violet Terrill in Page, Nebraska. She graduated in 1956 from Rembrandt High School. She married Al Larsen on June 8, 1956 in Albert City, Iowa. Jan was a loving mother to three children.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 55 years, Al Larsen of Ankeny; son, Craig (Pat) Larsen of Manchester; daughters, Denise (Steve) Phelps and Pamela (Randy) Inks of Ankeny; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, Audrey (Bob) Burnett and Ben (Bev) Terrill. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Gerald and Daryl Terrill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
