

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2016, at Lutheran Church of Hope – Ankeny with burial to follow at Berwick Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Friday at the church.
Jennifer Lynn Wasko was born January 14, 1977, in Des Moines, Iowa to Gregory and Sherrill (Radden) Anderson. She grew up in Des Moines and graduated from Southeast Polk in the class of 1995. Most recently, Jen had proudly completed the Respiratory Therapy program with honors at DMACC.
On May 16, 2012, Jen was united in marriage to Brian Thomas Wasko at a tropical resort in Jamaica. The couple made their home in Ankeny and have been blessed with five children; Ashton, Teagan, Rosie, Maddie, and Owen. She had a deep faith and was a member of Lutheran Church of Hope in Ankeny.
Jen was blessed with a giving soul and had a deep love for all children. She was often babysitting, helping as a nanny, and volunteering for patient care. She also had an excellent sense of fashion, and enjoyed having her hair and nails done, shopping, and always took great pride in her appearance.
Most of all, Jen was a magnificent wife and mother who loved spending time with Brian, her children, entire family, and dog, Murphy.
Jen was loved and will be deeply missed by her husband, Brian Wasko; children, Ashton Miner, Teagan Miner, Rosie Wasko, Maddie Wasko, and Owen Wasko; parents, Greg and Sherrill Anderson; siblings, Carrie (Scott) Boik and Eric Anderson; nieces, Camryn Boik and Emily Boik; parents-in-law, Dan and Gerry Wasko; brother-in-law, DJ Wasko; sister-in-law, Sherry Wasko; loving dog, Murphy, and many friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arden and Eva Anderson and Marvin and Betty Radden.
