OBITUARY
Karen Gosnell
October 30, 1941 – January 6, 2021
Beverly Karen Gosnell, 79, of Ankeny, Iowa, formerly of Blairstown, Iowa, died Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at her home. A visitation with the family will start at 10 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. Burial will take place following the service at 1:30 p.m. in Blairstown, Iowa at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Karen was born October 30, 1941 in rural Davis County, Iowa to Carl and Manilla (O'Conner) Boyer. She was united in marriage to James Gosnell on December 31, 1964 in Unionville, Iowa. The Gosnells spent 48 years in Blairstown, Iowa before moving to Ankeny in August of 2020. Karen was a long-time nursing home, food service worker and homemaker.
Karen is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Vonita (Michael) Hill of Eureka, Missouri and Tammy (James) Gauer of Ankeny; son, Nicholas (Pamela) Gosnell of Inman, Kansas; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a sister Beth (Albert) Pospisil of Cedar Rapids and a brother Rick (Tammy) Boyer of Stanton, Iowa, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronald Boyer.
The best memorial you can give for the life of one who has died knowing Jesus as her Savior is that you know Him, too. Karen's goal in life and in death is to see as many of her loved ones have a personal relationship with Christ as possible. Please consider your relationship as you remember her fondly.

She was such a wonderful Aunt! I will miss her so much! I have great memories of her and will cherish them always!
