Lacey was born on December 7, 1982, to Leon Welton Sr. and Elizabeth Emily (Olson) Finchem in Sandwich, Illinois. She graduated from Malvern High School in 2001. She was the Salutatorian of her graduation class. She continued her education at IWCC for general education classes. She found her calling in sales as a sales representative in numerous businesses. She was united in marriage to Jeffrey Mason Davis on January 3, 2010, at 1st Christan Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa. There were three children to this union, Nyle, Jordan, and Blakely.
Lacey had a gift for connecting with people. She made everyone she met feel seen, valued, and loved. She didn’t just make friends, she made people feel like family. Lacey’s deepest passion was her children. She loved planning their family trips, vacations, concerts and anything else to be able to make memories with her family. She was a “professional” event coordinator in her children’s school activities. Lacey was known as “Aunt Cool” and loved hearing the sound of laughter between her children and their cousins.
Lacey is preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Finchem; paternal grandmother, “Grandma Gay”; maternal grandfather, Olie Olson; Grandfather-in-law, Everett Dugdale, and her cousin, Tara Maher. Lacey is survived by her loving husband, Jeffrey; her children, Nyle, Jordan, and Blakely Davis; her father, Leon Welton Finchem Sr.; her siblings, Leon (Anne) Finchem Jr. and their children, Shelby, Jefrey, Cubby, and Ripley, and Lydia (Melvin) Robinson and their children, Liberty, Teagan, Melo, and Tay, and Luke Finchem and his children, Landen, Schuyler, Brayden, and Zora and Carter Finchem; maternal grandmother, Emily Olson, and many other extended family and friends.
