Larry Dean Williams

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 West First Street, Ankeny, Iowa, 50023. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Larry was born on August 13, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Stuart Menlo High School in 1978. He then enlisted in the United States Army. After Larry retired from the Army, he worked for the Fortune 500 Company, Booz-Allen-Hamilton in finances. He later went to work at the VA Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa where he also retired in 2019.

Larry was very dedicated to his family and his country. He also had a passion for animals in need where he helped with the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.

Larry is survived by his wife, Joann Williams; two daughters, Virginia Lynde and Nicole Williams; two grandsons, Micheal Lynde and Elijah Ostring; his mother, Barbara Williams; two brothers, Keith and Gary Williams, and sister, Janice Phippen. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Williams.

Memorials may be directed to the family in loving memory of Larry. The family will take the memorials and be donating them to a charity of their choosing at a later date.
