Larry was a lifelong friend, and I will mis him very much.


I was one of the many who worked with Larry at BFOR!  He was always a key member of the team that got us up and running to be the best "division" of Bridgestone in the world!  
I always liked and respected Larry!  He is missed and always will be!

Cindy and I are so saddened to learn of Larry’s passing.  I had the distinct pleasure of working closely with Larry for the formative years of our development of Bridgestone/Firestone OTR (BFOR).  He was not only instrumental in the launch and successful operation of that business, but perhaps one of the largest supporters that helped keep the Bloomington factory alive until we could scratch and claw together enough investment to make it a stand alone success.  His quick wit, hard work and love of his family come immediately to mind.  Our sincere and deepest condolences to the family, prayers for their comfort, and for the repose of Larry’s soul.

So sorry to hear of Larry's passing.  I worked with him in various roles when he was in Nashville, Des Moines & Bloomington where he always kept us all in stitches. His subtle sense of humor will be greatly missed.  My condolences for your loss.

I hosted Larry when he interviewed for his job at Firestone in 1980.  He was a great guy; I loved working with him.  I am so sad to learn of his passing.

He helped me keep things in perspective and was always willing to give us advise when we asked.  He always talked about his family and was looking forward to everyone coming together for Christmas. We moved onto the same street as Larry two years ago. We noticed right away Larry had the nicest yard in the neighborhood. He took meticulous care of his home. He was always friendly to our family, he always smiled and waved when we went by as he was always outside. We are so shocked and saddened by the news of his passing.  We will miss our neighbor Larry.

I worked with Larry for many years and took an annual golf trip with him to Florida for 10 years.  Always fun to be around and I appreciated his self deprecating sense of humor.  Larry was never full of himself and cared deeply for his friends.  When he made you his friend, you were his friend for life.  I will miss him.

Larry, my friend you will be truly missed.  We had wonderful times together at work as well as playing golf on Saturday mornings.   Your humor and great wit was a welcome distractions when things were difficult.  Again, you will be truly missed.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. Larry was one of the kindest, funniest and most enjoyable people i ever had the honor of working with at Bridgestone. I saw him several weeks ago during his golf trip to Tennessee and reminisced about our golf days at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington with Bill, Mark, Kirk, Ralph and Monty. Larry’s passing leaves a huge void in our lives but i also know he leaves all of us with fond memories and feeling honored to have called him friend.
