Linda Sue (Reason) Zinn, 68, of Ankeny, passed away peacefully at Madrid Home on Sunday, March 25, 2018 after a courageous battle with Lewy Body dementia. She was the loving wife of Robert Zinn.

Shortly after, they would move to Ankeny, Iowa where she started as a teller at Ankeny State Bank. After holding many different positions at ASB, she moved to become secretary at St. Augustin Catholic School.

Linda enjoyed traveling with her husband and girlfriends, crossword puzzles, reading, cross stitching, attending musicals and plays at the Civic Center, and going back “home” to visit family in Spencer. Linda was very proud of her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

We were neighbors to Bob and Linda many years ago on the south side of Ankeny. Our sons Josh and Jake were friends with Jeremy and Josh . The Zinn’s were a very loving family. We were so saddened to learn of Linda’s passing and extend our heartfelt sympathy to the family.

Linda was my secretary for over 20 years. She was always one step ahead of me and kept my life as a principal "sane" most of the time. Her least favorite activity(and Bob's) was when she was in charge of the magazine drive. All of the little envelopes at the time drove her crazy--when it was over (three weeks), she always made sure she had Bob have the "drinks" ready.
Linda and Bob had the best love affair--they did everything together, even a morning paper route! When she had to leave St. Augustin school for medical reasons, it was a personal loss as much as a professional loss. She was one of the "greats" and will truly be missed.
