Lloyd Lewis Warner

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 4, 2017, at Ankeny Christian Church with burial to follow at Oralabor Cemetery in Ankeny. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Monday at the church.

Lloyd Lewis Warner was born on November 2, 1937, in Mason City, Iowa. He grew up in Mason City where he received his education. Lloyd enlisted in the United States Navy until he was honorably discharged. He made a career as a semi-truck driver where he worked for various trucking companies. On August 16, 1969, Lloyd was united in marriage to Patricia Anderson. The couple made their home in Ankeny and were blessed with two children, Lynn and Tanya.

Lloyd was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and traveling. He also watched many western movies while relaxing at home. Most of all, Lloyd loved spending time with his family at picnics and attending activities.

Lloyd will be deeply missed by his wife, Pat; daughter, Tanya (Ben) Cox; grandchildren, Trinity Smith and Tommy Cox; siblings, Bob (Molly) Warner, Genevieve Cooper, Carolyn (Denny) Thada, Thelma (Edwin) Lindloff, and John (Judy) Ohrt; and brothers-in-law, Charles (Susie) Anderson and Gary (Lavonne) Anderson; as well as many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Thelma Ohrt; and one son, Lynn Warner.
