Margaret Prine

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Ankeny Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Margaret will be laid to rest with her husband, William Prine at Los Angeles National Cemetery in Los Angeles, California.

Margaret Ellen Yarwood was born November 12, 1924 in California. She grew up and received her education before meeting the love of her life, William L Prine. They were united in marriage on July 14, 1942. The couple made their home in California and Margaret later moved to Iowa in 2004. They were blessed with three children, Marla, Martin, and Frank. Margaret made a career working in retail while raising her children.

She enjoyed crocheting, reading many books, and taking care of the family cats. Most of all she loved spending time with her family that she deeply cared about.

Margaret will be missed by her children, Marla (Jack) Lundy, Martin (Judy) Prine, and Frank (Glenda) Prine; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents, John and Francis Yarwood; daughter, Marsa Louise Prine; and granddaughter, Lora Darlene Lundy.
