Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 8, 2016, at Oralabor Cemetery, in Ankeny, Iowa.
Marie was born in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, on August 29, 1924. She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School.
On June 10, 1942, Marie was united in marriage to Charles A. Harwood. For many years the couple lived in Ankeny, Iowa. They had two children Linda and Ronda. Before retirement, Marie worked as a secretary with the Ankeny Community Schools.
Those left to honor her memory include her one child, Ronda (Steve) Fey; granddaughters, Sarah (Joshua) Beal, and Emily (Chad) Becker; great-grandchildren include: Isabella Becker, Tristan Becker and Owen Beal. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; and her daughter, Linda.
