Marsha Anne Rasmussen

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday. August 13, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 West 1st Street, Ankeny, Iowa 50023. There will be a one-hour Visitation before the service at the funeral home. Marsha will be laid to rest in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel, Iowa.

Marsha Anne Rasmussen was born on May 30, 1945, to Max Clark and Margaret Louise (Parcher) McConnell in Creston, Iowa. She graduated from Corning High School in 1963 in Corning, Iowa. After high school, she continued her education to Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. After college, she moved to Omaha where she met the love of her life, Franklin Dean Rasmussen. They were married on May 14, 1967, in Corning, Iowa at the Methodist Church. There were two children to this union, Andrew and Aric.

Marsha was a farm wife and a homemaker for her family until she became a property manager at Timberland Partners in Ankeny, Iowa until her retirement in 2015. She enjoyed decorating, family game nights, reading, gardening, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, researching ancestry, cooking, and most of all, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Marsha is survived by her husband, Franklin Dean Rasmussen; two children, Andrew (April Hayes) Rasmussen, and Aric (Lesa) Rasmussen; six grandchildren, Aden, Max, and Finn Rasmussen and Cassidy, Cameron, and Chloe Hayes, and a sister, Michelle (Larry) Andersen. She is preceded in death by her parents, Max and Margaret McConnell and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Lillie Rasmussen.

Memorials may be directed to the family and will be given to a charity of their choosing at a later date.
