My brothers and I loved visiting our cousins in Massachusetts who were neighbors with Matt, Steve and Becky...and then we were like cousins as well! Matt always had a big heart and was so funny! I am so sad for Aunt Bev, Uncle Bill, Steve, Becky and Matt's children and family. I so appreciated reconnecting with Matt via Facebook and looked forward to reading his posts and positive messages about life. It was clear how much he loved his children. All of my family's love goes out to Matt's family and friends.

I worked with Matt for years at Aspetuck Valley Country Club. We became close friends. We had so much fun together. But we also both had a son when we were young. We shared many of the same experiences.

We lost touch for a while but reconnected on FB. We had spoken about meeting up when he came back East someday.

I am truly heartbroken at the news. My thoughts & prayers go out to the family & especially Matt’s children. He loved them with all his heart.

God bless you & may you Rest In Peace with the glory of the Lord in Heaven. 🙏🏻

I knew Matt when we worked together, he was such a great, kind and easy going guy. I am so saddened to hear of his passing and am sending love to his entire family. He also had the most beautiful smile.

I met Matt about 15yrs ago working at Scholastic in Danbury. CT....I was his manager but we became great friends immediately. We ALWAYS laughed so hard. We lost touch for a little bit after he moved but we reconnected like we never skipped a beat! Matt had a huge heart, was so funny, caring, down to earth and just a great person all around. He absolutely loved his kids, talked about how proud he was of them constantly. He was so incredibly grateful to have connected with his biological family and gain so many siblings. Just know he talked about all of you in his family with the greatest love & adoration. I am deeply sorry for your loss and I am sending love, peace and healing for you all.
