Max Anthony Parks, 68, went home to Heaven on February 13, 2020, and is now in the presence of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. In his new body he is singing High C musical notes and above. Visitation will be at 9:00 AM, Monday, February 24, 2020, at Ankeny Free Church (118 NW Linden St. #2409 Ankeny, IA 50023). Funeral Services will be following the visitation at the church at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Gardens in Des Moines.
Max was born on September 9, 1951 in Warrensburg, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents, CL (Ernestine) Parks, sister, Betty Sawrey, brother-in-law, Rick Sawrey, nephew, Brandon Sawrey and father-in-law, Paul Bonstrom Sr. Max is survived by his wife, Barbara; children: Sarah (Ryan) Farley, Ryan Max (Melissa) Parks and Molly (Ryan) Meyer; grandchildren: Kaylee Stevens, Austin, Alexis and Mackenzie Farley, Leah, Caleb and Evelina Parks, Richie, Madelyn and Jonah Max Meyer; mother-in-law, Vivian Bonstrom; brother-in-laws, Paul (Barbara) Bonstrom and Daniel (Mary) Bonstrom; his Aunt Ruby and Uncle Harry Woldmoe; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Max’s 38 year career with John Deere was completed as John Deere Finance Territory manager. He was a mentor, coach, communicator and trainer while helping many, including John Deere dealers with guidance and direction on becoming the best version of themselves.
He will be missed by his family and by all who knew him.
