Nolan Kramer, 21, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind vibrant memories amongst his every encounter. His presence was electric, his laughter unforgettable, and his heart as big as his imagination.
From the moment he arrived, Nolan carried a spark that never dimmed. He filled every room with energy, connection, and a contagious sense of fun and was always eager to stay active in his hobbies and relationships. He always had a charming ability to tell a well-timed joke or whip up a five star “Nolan recipe” concoction from the kitchen. He has left a piece of himself in every corner of the world he touched, and his joyful shenanigans weren't just tolerated—they were beloved.
A student at Iowa State and DMACC, Nolan was on his way to a career in physical therapy—drawn by a deep desire to heal, help, and connect with others. He was driven, focused, and full of plans, but never too busy to make time for those he loved.
Not only was Nolan a five-star chef, but he was a jack of all trades: a multi-sport athlete, a Star Wars fanatic, a Willy Wonka enthusiast, a fierce competitor in every video game or backyard challenge, and an adventurous traveler. He soaked up Miami sunshine like it was made just for him and carried a piece of tropical paradise in his soul, no matter the season.
After the heartbreaking loss of his brother, Brevin, over Christmas, Nolan became the family’s holiday heartbeat. He threw himself into the season with childlike wonder—stringing lights, decorating the tree with his girlfriend, and counting down the days on his homemade advent calendar. He made sure the magic didn’t fade, not for his family, and not for himself.
But Nolan’s greatest adventure—and the love that defined him—was with Bergan Rinker, his girlfriend of five years. Their bond was filled with laughter, teasing, deep connection, and the kind of love that feels like home. She was his first and only love—his real-life fairy tale.
Nolan is survived by his loving parents, Ted and Jessica Kramer; his siblings, Ryland and Annika Kramer; grandparents, Mickey Jung and Diane Phillips, Tom and Tami Kramer; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who adored him. He is preceded in death by his brother, Brevin Kramer, and grandmother, Kris Kramer.
Nolan was unforgettable—the kind of person who showed up fully and made sure you did too. He lived loudly, loved deeply, and left the world more alive because he was in it. Even in his passing, Nolan continues to give life and hope to others through the gift of organ donation.
