Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Ankeny Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2015 at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
Patrick Gregory Frain was born July 16, 1967 in Patchogue, New York to John and Klara Frain. He grew up in Mastic, New York before enlisting in the United States Army. Patrick proudly served as an infantryman with assignments in Germany, Panama, and Ft. Campbell. He was honorably discharged after six years and eight months active duty; earning the rank of Sergeant. After serving his country, Patrick continued to serve those in need by occupying a position at the VA Hospital in Des Moines.
Patrick enjoyed gardening around his home, cooking, and being outdoors. He mostly loved spending time with his dogs, and family members.
Patrick will be missed by his sisters, Natalie Kant, Kathleen Frain, Patricia Benson, and Maureen Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents.
