Phyllis Hoskins

Phyllis Kay Hoskins age 84, formerly of Elkhart passed away May 27, 2022. Phyllis was born April 4, 1938, to Armando and Frances (Brown) Ferrari. She was a graduate of Pilot Mound High School and went on to become a Registered Nurse. Phyllis continued her education by becoming a Physician’s Assistant in 1978. She was employed at Broadlawns Hospital for most of her working life. Phyl dedicated her health care career to caring for the underserved with compassion and integrity.

She was a loving mom, grandma, and wife. She enjoyed 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She actively enjoyed watching sports, especially those which involved her children and grandchildren. Phyllis was an avid Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees fan.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Scott (Michelle) Hoskins, Bart Hoskins, and Lori (Kirk) Fridrich. She was preceded in death by her husband James, her brother, Ray Ferrari, and sisters, Marilyn Baker and Beth Ferrari.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Ankeny Funeral Home, followed by burial at the Elkhart Cemetery, in Elkhart, Iowa.
