Mr. Randy John Burt

A celebration of Life will be held for Randy on Saturday, November 7th, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the community center of Saint Charles, 830 Whitewater Ave., St. Charles, MN 55972. Please come celebrate Randy as he would love to see his family and loved ones together. Food and refreshments provided.

Randy was born on December 10, 1959, to Donald W. Burt and Oaka May L. Herman in Winona, MN. He grew up in Utica, MN and graduated from St Charles High School. On September 8, 1984, he married the love of his life, Jill E. Banick. Randy and Jill settled in Rochester, MN where they were blessed with four children: Adam, Amy, Aaron, and Talyr. Randy and Jill shared the joy of six grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart. Lexus, Carter, Jackson, Dylan, Hadley, and Amelia.

Randy dedicated over 45 years as a long-haul truck driver. He prided himself in being an owner/operator, and his years on the road reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family.

When he wasn’t behind the wheel, Randy loved spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed the freedom of riding his motorcycle, which he would only refer to as “Hog”. Annual fishing trips with his son and hunting at the cabin he built with his father kept Randy close to home despite all the miles.

Randy is survived by his loving wife, Jill; brothers, Robert, Danni and Donni; his children, Amy, Aaron and Talyr; and his six beloved grandchildren. Randy is preceded in death by his father, Donald (Bud); his mother, Oaka May; his nephew, Chris Burt; and his son, Adam.

Randy will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, love of the open road, and the experiences he had with those closest to him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew and loved him.
