Ranea Kay Bell 37, passed away on February 20, 2021. A celebration of Life will be held on February 27th from 1-5 P.M. at Doc’s Lounge on 86th Street in Johnston, IA.
Ranea was born on October 26, 1983, in Boone, Iowa. She graduated from Ames High School in 2002. While growing up, she was in dance for many years. As a teenager, Ranea developed an interest in cooking along with nursing, leading to her earning her Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) degree. Chip, her four-legged yellow lab companion, was by her side for many years. Monster, her American shorthair black cat, just recently joined her companionship last year. Some of Ranea’s hobbies included crocheting with her mother and grandmother, and creating blankets and scarves for family, friends, and coworkers.
Ranea is preceded in death by her grandfather, Larry James Bell; great-grandfathers, James Clark Bell and Verne Henry Emerson; great-grandmother, Betty Orma Emerson; and step-grandfathers, Ronald James Housman and James Larry Linn.
Ranea is survived by her immediate family, mother, Tammi Bell; brother, Roman Bell; grandmother, Verna Emerson; great aunt, Carolyn Nikkelsen; and stepfather, Mark Linn and his extended family.
