A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W. First St., Ankeny, Iowa 50023). In addition, a memorial service for Sally will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at First Family Church (317 S.E. Magazine Rd., Ankeny, Iowa 50021).
Sally Ann Ansley was born March 20, 1955, in Schenectady, New York, to Robert and Elizabeth (Pease) Butcher. She grew up in Schoharie, New York and Topsfield, Massachusetts, and graduated from Northfield Mount Hermon School, class of 1973. Sally later attended and graduated from the University of New Hampshire. Sally married her first husband Charles Boone in 1979, and they lived for several years in Longmont, Colorado, where her son Mike was born.
After Charles passed away, Sally married Randy Ansley, and they took great pride in working and living at the Battery Point lighthouse in, Crescent City, California.
Shortly after they left the lighthouse, Randy passed away, and Sally made the decision to move to Ankeny, Iowa to be closer to her son Mike Boone. She was a member of First Family Church in Ankeny, Iowa. Sally most loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her granddaughter, Janie.
Sally will be missed deeply by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Joni Boone of Ankeny, Iowa; granddaughter, Janie, sister; Sue Butcher of Boulder, Colorado, brother; Peter Butcher of Stone Ridge, New York, and stepmother; Dorothy Butcher of Ipswich, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Boone, second husband, Randy Ansley, mother; Elizabeth Day, father; Robert Butcher, and brother; Steve Butcher.
