Scot Alan Angus, 39, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in Ankeny. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 11, at Ankeny Funeral Home, (1510 W. 1st St. in Ankeny). Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, December 12, 2011 at Prairie Ridge Church (825 NW 36th St. in Ankeny) with burial in Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Scot was born December 16, 1971 to Dale and June Angus in Ames, Iowa. He graduated from Ames High and went to Iowa State University where he received his Bachelor Degree in Psychology.
Scot was an avid Cardinals, Vikings, and Iowa State fan and enjoyed all sports. He loved teaching his kids about them and coaching his son’s teams. Scot enjoyed playing golf and listening to music. He was a fun-loving man and he loved his children.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn; children, Brandon (11) and Reagan (7); parents, Dale and June Angus of Bancroft, ID; siblings, Stephen Wade (Heidi) Angus of New York, Jyll (Gary) Kern of Bancroft, ID, and Jeff (Ola) Angus of Kuwait; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry (Jane) Ricketts of Ames; brother-in-law, Dan (Leslie) Ricketts of Kansas City; and eleven nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Ryan Angus, and his grandparents.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for the children’s educational fund.
