Shirley Ann Mason

Visitation services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2015, from 5-7pm at the Elkhart Christian Church.

Funeral Services will be held at the Elkhart Christian Church on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at 10 a.m. A burial at the Elkhart Cemetery will follow services with a luncheon following at the church.

Shirley Mason was born on September 2, 1934, to Ralph and Clara Clevenger in Carlinville, Il.

She was happily married to her husband of over 50 years, Harold “Link” Hudson until his passing in 2001.

She married William “Bill” Mason in 2003 and they remained married until her passing.

Shirley retired from her career as a CNA from Iowa Lutheran Hospital in 1992.

She enjoyed reading, spending time with family and friends (especially while shopping), and going to Tama with Bill. She liked playing cards and having a good cup of coffee while reading the paper.

Shirley is survived by her husband; Bill, daughter; Connie (Junior) Tuma, sons; Steve (Denise) Hudson, Bruce Hudson, Tim (Debby) Hudson, son-in-law; Alan Lourens, stepdaughter; Kari (Jim) Roth, stepson; Larry (Diane) Mason, brother; Vincent (Jean) Clevenger, sister; Marie Conlee, sister-in-law; Betty Clevenger, grandchildren; Angie, Amy, Lincoln, Spencer, Christopher, Emilie, Kiesha, Wyatt, Corbin, Meredith, Brandon, Katie, Jessie and 9.5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband; Harold “Link” Hudson, daughters; Debby Lourens and Kathy (Steve) Johnson, Sister; Penelope and Brother; Truman Clevenger.
