Stacie Stone

Stacie Dawn Stone, 45, passed away January 7, 2017. Memorial services will be at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church (1100 Se Sharon Dr. Ankeny, IA 50021). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Stacie was born September 25, 1971 in Carroll, IA to Dale and Irene (Berns) Janssen. She graduated from Southern Cal High School in 1990 and then attended Simpson College; she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority; she attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science in 1994. Stacie was united in marriage on October 1, 1994 to Aaron Stone in Ames, Iowa. They were blessed with two children, Nate and Kayla.

Stacie enjoyed watching her children’s many activities; including Kayla playing softball and running track; and Nate perform in his many musical concerts and competitions. In her free time she also loved to play computer games and keep friends and family updated on her children’s activities on Facebook.

Left to cherish her memory are Stacie’s husband, Aaron Stone; and children, Nate and Kayla, all of Ankeny; brother, Steven (Marylou) Janssen and their children Christopher, Tiffany, Daniel and Steffany of Auburn, IA; sister, Sheila Janssen and daughter Casey; Aunts, Darlene and Jean and Uncles, Duane and Don, along with many extended family members. Stacie is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Irene.
