Steven Wayne Solem

Memorial services will be held Monday, April 27, 2015 in Denver, Colorado.

Steve was the son of Roger and Lorene Solem (Ruroden). He was born May 8, 1952 in Decorah, Iowa. Later he settled down in Thornton, Colorado with the love of his life Karen Riley. He took great pride in working for Intermountain Electric for over 15 years and was truly loved by those he worked for. Steve had a huge heart and was passionate about his family, and the Lutheran church. He cherished spending his time surrounded by those he loved, and riding his Harely Davidson with his wife Karen and his brothers.

Steve will be remembered and missed as a truly happy person, as well as an all-around good guy.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Riley and their daughter Stephanie Riley-Solem of Denver, Co. Son, Nathan Solem(AK); daughters, Alexis Ownby and Cieannarae McDonald (AK); Sisters, Kathleen Solem (Jim) and Julie Schroeder; Brothers, Dean (Jan) Solem, Larry (Kathy) Solem, Jerry Solem, Kevin (Cindy) Solem, as well as nine grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Lorene Solem.
