Steven Allen Young, 30, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 30 at Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 510 E. First Street, Ankeny. A Prayer Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the church.
Steven was born November 1, 1981 in Sioux City, IA to William “Perry” and Effie Young. He grew up in Ankeny, IA and graduated from Ankeny High School in 2000.
Survivors include his parents, William “Perry” and Effie Young of Maricopa, AZ; siblings, David (Christine) Chongo of Ankeny, Charles (Simona) Chongo of San Francisco, CA, Shelley Young of Des Moines, Jennifer Rollins of Ankeny, Jill (Cody) Lind of Colfax, and Teresa (Lenny) Klug of Des Moines; grandmother, Betty Brumbelow; and 16 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Young, and niece, Kylee Young.
