Thomas Moburg Arney, 71, passed away March 24, 2017, at home in Paton, IA. A gathering of family and friends will be held in honor of Tom at Mulligans at Gowrie Country Club on April 9, 2017, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Thomas was born December 19, 1945, to Allen and Lois (Moburg) Arney. He graduated from Iowa State University with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Tom enjoyed riding in RAGBRAI, farming and traveling.
Tom is survived by his son, Jeffrey Allen Arney of Cottage Grove, MN; sister, LuAnn Arney of Dorchester, IA; brother, Stephen Arney (Virginia Schultz) of Boulder, CO; niece, Rhiannon ArneySchultz; aunts, Joyce (John) Schuchmann of Cedar Rapids, IA and Annette (John) Coleman of Providence, RI; and uncle, Merv Haugen of Fort Dodge, IA. He is further survived by numerous loving cousins and friends. Tom is preceded in death by his father, Allen Arney; mother and step-father, Lois and Guy Howard; and aunt, Janet Haugen.
