

Timothy John O’Brien, son of Glen and Kathleen O’Brien died unexpectedly at 9:22am on Thursday April 23rd in the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA. He was only thirty two years old. A private family service will take place with a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Timothy was born in Sydney, Australia on May 19th, 1987. He had a happy childhood in Australia before his parents moved the family to Hong Kong He returned to the USA and lived in Indianapolis before moving to Ankeny, IA. He graduated from Mariner High School in Cape Coral, FL. in 2006. Tim worked in construction related jobs all his life and had any number of skills. He had a keen sense of humor and made friends easily. He was hard working conscientious and practical. He loved the outdoors, the Florida beaches in particular.
Tim’s hobby or rather his passion was fishing. He would have made great professional fishermen or boat Captain. The “Deadliest Catch” was his favorite TV show. He loved his niece and nephew dearly and to them he will always be “Uncle Pizza.”
Tim is survived by his parents Glen and Kathleen O’Brien. His sister Jessica Ellston and her children Brynn and Kieran Ellston. His brother Zachary O’Brien, His Uncles Kerry and Greg O’Brien, and his aunt Mercia O’Brien.They all live in Queensland, Australia. His step brother Stephen Donnachie and his aunt Nancy Herman.
