

Anne Hall, 91, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2011 at Brookdale Assisted Living facility in Ann Arbor, MI. Anne was born on March 17, 1920, in Deweyville, TX, to Frank & Leopolda Suchanek. She was raised in Flint, MI where the family enjoyed the music, dancing and food of their Czech heritage. Anne worked at AC Spark Plug in Flint during WWII. It was around that time that she met Robert M. Hall, of Ann Arbor, while he was in army training in Flint. They were married on May 13, 1943 in Sacramento, CA. They lived in Ann Arbor after he returned from the war where they raised their four children. Bob and Anne were married for 68 years. Anne worked for the A2 Public Schools and finished her clerical career in the Records Department at Pioneer High School. She retired in 1985. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother. Anne is survived by her husband Robert M. Hall, 5 sisters, children Kathleen Hall, Ann Arbor; Stephanie Hall, Dunedin, FL; Jane Hall Oxender (Derrick), Ann Arbor; Fred Hall (Margaret Bayless), Ann Arbor; and 6 grandchildren, Anna and Margaret Carollo; Bryan and Andrew Oxender; Leo and Eric Bayless-Hall. Anne really loved Czech music and dancing. She also enjoyed bowling, fishing, bird-watching gardening and playing cards. Her warmth, generosity and optimism will be greatly missed by all of her family.
