Betty Blanche Granger

Betty Granger, née Betty Blanche Bierschwale, was born in Waring, Texas on October 27, 1920. Her parents were Dolph and Hattie Bierschwale. She lived in Comfort, Texas, until her family moved to San Antonio in 1939.Betty married Lieut. Alphens Forsman in 1940. She is survived by their son Alpheus E. Forsman, their daughter Donna L. Forsman, three granddaughters and six great granddaughters.

Betty met her second husband, James Y. Granger when they were both working for Eastern Airlines. They married in 1960. In addition to San Antonio, they lived in Turkey, England and Taiwan. Betty was fond of gardening and entertaining.

James predeceased her in 2008. Her remains will be interred beside him in the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.

A memorial service will take place Friday, March 13, 2015 at 10:00a.m. at University Living of Ann arbor 2865 S. Main Street Ann Arbor, MI 48103
