Carl Stephen Lohman of Davisburg, Michigan and formerly of Toledo passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Carl was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School and obtained his Civil Engineering degree from the University of Toledo. Carl used his brain and his hands to figure out any problem and fix anything that was broken. He enjoyed restoring old cars and had a great interest in military history from the Revolutionary War to World War II. Along with his wife Nadezhda, Carl loved to travel and experience different cultures. He enjoyed family gatherings…and never missed a single one! Carl was preceded in death by his wonderful parents, Norman and Marie Lohman. He will rest side by side with them for eternity; they have welcomed him home. Also preceding him is his Mother in Law, Luidmila Volkova, who he helped care for until her recent passing. Surviving Carl is his loving wife Nadezhda; she will miss him dearly. Also surviving are his four brothers, Tim (Pat), Tom (Debbie), Mark (Laura Novotny), and Jim (Annette). Always remembering his jokes and good natured fun will be his Nieces and Nephews, Jason, Shelby, Brittany, Kelly, Jamie, Christopher, Zachary, Daniel, Marissa, Caleb, Katie, Kristen, Landon and Kenny. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017 at St. Vladimir Orthodox Russian Church, Dexter, MI, where Carl was a member of the congregation. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity or cause of the donor’s choice.
