When you live in Ann Arbor a long time, and you are involved in the community, especially when you love the outdoors, you likely came into contact with Carol a few times. I did. While we were not close and she may not even have remembered me, she was always so pleasant and kind and I loved her enthusiasm and smile. I hope the family feels love and support at this time. My sincere sympathy. Diana

My deepest sympathy to you, your sons and families on your loss. I have lasting and wonderful memories of times with you and Carol and her smile, wit, laugh and charm. Carrie extends her sympathy from Florida. She so enjoyed time with Carol in the knit shop, as Carol was often working on a lovely project for the grandchildren.

My thoughts and prayers,

Words cannot express our profound grief with the passing of our long-time and best friend, Carol. She leaves behind a void in our lives, but also 60 years of wonderful memories which we will cherish. To Erik, Mike and Bob, and their families, your sorrows are shared by all of us who knew Carol and became part of her life.

Erik and the Serr Family, our hearts are burdened with the sudden and tragic passing of your wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Words simply cannot express our deep sadness for the news of Carol’s sudden death. We have always and will continue to cherish the many fabulous memories of our times together at Barton Hills, Wallon Lake and Pelican’s Nest playing golf, boating or just socializing.

Due to the virus unfortunately we will be unable to come to Ann Arbor for the services but our thoughts and prayers will certainly be with you and your entire family.

God bless,
Chuckie and Larry

To Carol's Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Carol and I were faculty colleagues at the University of Michigan School of Nursing. Our offices were across the hall from each other and got to know each other as we chatted frequently. She was such a cheerful, upbeat person who was fun to be with. We often met at the Dixboro Market during the summer months and she and Erik could be seen biking through our neighborhood whenever the weather was good.
I will miss her.

Carol and I were good friends in high school. She was a smart and attractive young lady, fun to be around. I lost touch with her after the first years of college and was pleased to learn via her obituary that she was very successful in her career and family life as anyone would have predicted. Sincere condolences to her family, and may she rest in peace.
