

Carrie Bullock (Shelly) was born on April 15, 1946 in Mississippi, sadly Carrie passed away on August 21, 2022 at the age of 76. She attended Jackson State College for one year before moving to Ypsilanti, Michigan to be closer to her sister and to pursue career advancement opportunities.
Ultimately, Carrie worked very hard as an assembler/production checker at Ford Motor Company until she retired. When Carrie moved to Michigan, she initially worked in both childcare and the medical industry. She met and married the love of her life, Arthur Bullock. Carrie & Arthur raised his two children from a previous marriage; Ingred Bullock (deceased) and Nova Bullock, and they welcomed and additional daughter Amelia Bullock.
Carrie was a loving sister of Irene Dixon, the late Ike Shelly, the late Maine Shelly, the late Ella Mae Bass and the late Ruby Marble. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and host of other friends and family members.
Carrie’s family will always remember her dedication to her religion as a Jehovah’s Witness, her devotion to supporting her family, her savory meals which filled bellies and warmed the hearts of many, her kind and giving spirit, and her love for Motown Music, smooth jazz, stage plays, concerts and cruises.
Carrie’s family will have a Memorial Service on September 3, 2022, 11am at Muehlig Funeral Chapel. Visitation will occur an hour prior to the service start time.
Those who wish to remember Carrie in a special way can direct memorial tributes to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Carrie will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
