Charles was born in Logan, West Virginia on May 18, 1947. Charles graduated from Washtenaw Community College with an Associates Degree in electronics. He also attended Eastern Michigan University. Charles had many interests including many kinds of science fiction, radios and other electronics, classical film and art. Charles overcame many obstacles in his life including the survival of a very serious hit and run accident early in 2017 which necessitated extensive rehabilitation effort. Charles' greatest desire was to return to his home after his rehabilitation completion. He was able to accomplish this with a very positive and grateful heart. He had a keen wit and great sense of humor. He will be missed by many.
